KidloLand App Review – Learning & Entertainment for Toddlers & Pre-Schoolers
Disclosure: I received a complimentary subscription from KidloLand in exchange for this review.
All opinions are my own
When I was approached to do this review, I was slightly nervous as Jojo is about to be two. We haven’t allowed much screen time. While screen time is such a hot topic, I am well aware that no matter how much I try to prevent/delay Jojo from learning and using these apps, IPads, and computers, he is still going to have to use them in his future! With that being said, I want him to have safe apps and only learning sources.
I have downloaded a few other kid apps for comparison. The KidloLand App costs 4.99$ a month. Now I am not one who likes to spend money on my own apps but after comparing free kids apps, I would completely pay the 4.99$ a month. Why?
- The ads free apps had – my child couldn’t even play without one popping up or he accidentally pressed it while playing.
- No in app purchases
- all the apps I have downloaded are based on one thing, meaning if i want him to learn his colors, and numbers I would have to have two different apps for that.
What is KidloLand?:
KidloLand is an amazing app, that truly has everything your child needs to learn from ages 1-5.
KidloLand offers three subscription options:
- $24.99/6 months
The app can be downloaded at iTunes, Google Play, and Amazon. You only need an internet access to download the app, and download the games you want to play. Once the activities you chose are downloaded, you can use them with or without an internet connection, making this an even more amazing app for traveling, or any other situations where you may want to keep your kids entertained, while learning!
What We Love About KidloLand:
As soon as you start KidloLand, it opens to a fun screen that just pops for kids, along with some cute music! This app has so much to offer. The amount of content is overwhelming, and with the hours we’ve used it, it seems like we barely scratched the surface. Plus, everyday we seem to use it there is something new that was added! There is so much for kids to learn. Some of the content includes:
- nursery rhymes
- fruits and vegetables
- and so much more!!
We have been playing a lot with the vehicles section (as I have a little boy who is obsessed with all things that go!) This section has songs, and not just one song they have a song for almost every vehicle. Plus along with the music your child can interact with the screen! This section also has tons of different games all based around different vehicles.
We have also played with some of the games, its so amazing to see your child just know how to use these apps, and start pressing his finger down to do puzzles on an ipad! They just learn so quickly. We played a lot with the old Mac Donald game. This section was great because it had a different activity at every stop you came to on old Mac Donalds farm. It also introduced us to all different types of animals, not just farm animals. There were sea creatures, safari animals, and much more.
Another section we loved was the Popping time! Yes you read that correctly – Popping! if you have kids you all know that they love bubbles, and balloons, and this section has tons of popping the balloon type games, some pop music (one of our favorites) some pop sight words, you can even squash the veggies! So many things to learn just by popping!!
For us at Jojo’s age it is all about keeping his attention! This app is has so many learning tools available that you just can’t go wrong. It truly kept his attention while teaching him! This app is also great for cognitive skills and hand-eye coordination. I could see how he gradually learned to move the on screen items with his finger.
I would definitely recommend this app, as an amazing learning tool, you just can’t go wrong! And best of all, there is a 7 day free trial so you don’t have to spend the money right away. Learn more about KidloLand by visiting their website!
